Magnode Grand Prize Winner in Design Competition (April 8, 2002)

Grand Prize & First Place Winning Designs

Magnode Corporation entered the 2002 International Aluminum Extrusion Design Competition-the second event sponsored by the Aluminum Extruders Council. Profession entries were grouped into five categories: Architectural (Building & Construction), Transportation (Automotive/Marine), Industrial (Machinery & Equipment), Commercial (Office & Furnishings), Residential (leisure). There was a separate category for Students.

This year Magnode entered Federal Signal Corporation in the Transportation category with dies 5R-1-4075 Housing and 5-19-1-11899 Light Bar, and Caframo Limited in the Residential Category with dies 5R-1-4060 Top for the Eco Fan.

The judges awarded Magnode Corporation two prizes on March 15, 2002 at the Aluminum Extruders Council Annual meeting. The GRAND Prize of $5,000 for the Federal Signal Housing/Light Bar and First Place of $2,000 for the Residential–Caframo design entry!
